Dr. David SongDr. David Song was an integrative orthopedics in China. In his treatment, the professional TCM orthopedic acupuncture and manipulation methods are used together with the understanding of WM orthopedic knowledge and technology, hence the good effects are usually seen in patients having bone, muscle or nerve conditions.
In 1993, he graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and got his BSc. Degree in medicine. After six years of clinical practice in the world famous orthopedic hospital (JiShuTan Hospital) in Beijing, he came to Vancouver and continued his medical practice as a registered acupuncturist from 2001 and a registered Doctor of TCM from 2003. Dr. Song is now practicing acupuncture, Tui Na massage and herbal medicine to help people with pain in neck, shoulder, lower back, and limb joints. In the recent years, he has been building up more and more experience on treating patients with car accidents, sports injuries, and chronic degeneration. He is especially good at treating spine conditions and arthritis. David has been teaching TCM orthopedics and advanced TuiNa courses since 2000 in Vancouver at PCU College of Holistic Medicine. David believes, as a doctor, the most important is to treat patients with the utmost effect and safety. |
Dr. Kathryn TianDr. Kathryn Tian became a registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in order to help others. She got her B. Sc. Degree in Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1993. Between 1993 and 1998, she worked as an oncologist in Beijing and also conducted research in anti-cancer natural medicine and integrative oncology. She obtained her Master’s Degree from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1998, majoring in integrative medicine for clinical oncology.
Kathryn immigrated to Canada in 1999. She has been a registered acupuncturist since 2001, and a registered Dr. of TCM since 2006. A large area of focus for Kathryn is on chronic, immunologically based illnesses such as cancer, autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, eczema and etc.) and allergy. Her scope of practice also includes treating women and children’s health issues. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Kathryn has been teaching TCM in Vancouver for 15 years with a focus on case studies, preventive medicine, clinical science and internship. She has also delivered presentations on TCM and acupuncture to various organizations. She believes that integrative medicine is the solution for controlling chronic conditions, and highly emphasizes the power of prevention as being the most important remedy for good health. |
